Digital Humanities in Portugal: building bridges and breaking barriers in the digital age

The Organizing Committee calls for the submission of paper (15 minutes) or poster proposals to the Conference “Digital Humanities in Portugal”, which will take place at the School of Social and Human Sciences at NOVA-New University of Lisbon, on October 8-9, 2015. Proposals must be registered and uploaded through the EasyChair conference system, until March 31, 2015 (NEW DATE), (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=hdpt2015). After signing up, authors must enter their name, contact details and institutional affiliation, as well as title, abstract (min. 400 / max. 500 words) and keywords (max. 5) for the proposal. All proposals will undergo blind peer review and authors will be notified of the results by May 15, 2015. Papers and posters must be submitted in Portuguese or English. The publication of selected papers from the conference in a peer-reviewed scientific journal is scheduled for the summer of 2016. PhD students bursaries
The Organizing Committee is delighted to announce 4 bursaries to give PhD students the opportunity to attend our ‘Digital Humanities in Portugal’ conference. These bursaries are sponsored by the research centers involved in the organization. Each bursary will cover the costs of conference attendance, including conference fees, as well as travel and accommodation expenses up to 250 euros. The bursaries will be awarded by the Organizing Committee to the four paper proposals by PhD students with the highest review score.
